World Wide Knit in Public Day was started in 2005 by Danielle Landes. From 25 events in 2005 to 751 events in 2009, the day just keeps growing and getting more and more global. You can read more about here. This year will be the first time WWKiPD is celebrated in Cambodia.
The PP event will be held at Bloom Cafe on Saturday June 8th, from 1:30pm to 5pm and is free and open to anyone who knits, crochets or uses a needle for good in any way. We’ll even have knitting themed cupcakes for the occasion.
The event is organized by the PP Knitting group, which is a diverse group of friendly, helpful and chatty women* from all walks of life. Come to be inspired, to get help with a project or help a newbie figure out a pattern, to get back into the knitting habit/addiction or just to enjoy some delicious Bloom cupcakes.
*We’d love to meet any male knitters/crafters out there!
